Pounding the Metal

All of me was wanting you,
Breathing you into my dreams,
Into my bed
Stillness of itself, instead now,
Is  my sweet  plate, my drink to keep.
I blot my love out,
Like putting my
Thumb up to hide the Moon.
And here we are, it's
June, a flavored tune,
Of clover wings and streams of
Hot breath kisses as we fly
So high around the green glazed,
Overlaid plains of dusty
Cakes, stale, left out.
We forgot them,
Not in the rain,
But while I looked away
A fair haired blue eyes
Took your breath to you.
And you were not a love like
James Taylor's  compassion true.
A song all over me,
I learned of some love from
The songs I'd heard.
Something went wrong,
As wrong as all could be,
Your mask removed.
You'd lied.
Something inconvenient in the
Heat of passion's memory.
Didn't matter that the sheets
Proved my virginity.
You'd blotted me out like an
Eclipse in the Spring
Of my awakening.
I sought your friendship,
But falseness proves
A crow's bad wing at the lake.
A jewel so bright, it is fake.

Now you're all moved on.
Your wrapped around her mind like thistle briar
For her to prick
Her golden fingers and bleed.
I bled for you, too.
So glad we met,
Your kisses like a swirling storm around my
Waiting breasts at nights in time.
Your words
A promise sought for all to be
Once blind, in love for you
I prayed a rare caring prayer for grace
To understand why I sent you to me this time
To never do it again, if given the chance.
But the wave of passion was rare and clouded with
Desire's flute melody.
You knew the words, somehow, to spin the
Hapless dream about me.
I sent this to myself.
What to learn ?

To see the signs in seasons past,
I left you once, to cry your heart to
Sleep, like a babe.
Here now to comfort you
A witless slave of
Love denied
We free ourselves
As wings
As friends
As tender endings
swaying in the salty soup and bobbing as a man of war
With prey.

Thank you for my lesson
Friend.
It's day !

The Book of You

Oh flimsy night of webs and
Melodies of sprites,
How I long a touch of thee,
A kiss, your sweet embrace of lights !
As moments pass beneath the bridge's shade,
Our reverie lasts as long as words are made.
As slowly as a waiting breath to keep,
You're softly holding me,
Your kind sheathed blade.
And, as I wait here,
Vast space between us,
Like a wall of stars pending birth,
The longing fills like air in the windy sails
Of memories' ships in dreams.
I reach with fingers, soflty hoping as I look,
Your answer here to find, within this book.
Of poems you and I are made and share,
Of poems, love and sparkling mystic air.
Be kind, oh dreams of joyous long embraces,
And flowing robes of silken threaded traces.
Our longing as the sheets are rent in flames of fire,
The fullness felt in wholeness of desire.
The roses breathe and swell
Within my Soul, you sleep.
You answer not as I have fallen deep.
The book of you, I read most faithfully,
As all my thoughts are flowers from your tree.
And bloodless lies of vanity to rage,
While gasping so, I turn another page.
No fear as such delight to know what's dark.
The book of you ignites my bleeding spark.
Excites with feathers flowing in the breeze,
Our calls to God as sure as falling leaves.
So, in this call to God, a prayer to fire's prince.
Of love denied, or sword yet unconvinced.
Deep shadows from the words flow through my Soul
The fires boil within the earthen bowl,
Etched tightly woven scripts of wisdom's glow,
A kiss from you is all of life to know.
And yet each kiss not rendered as a flame,
My heart grows love and knows it by your name.
Upon each page of you, there is my heart.
If fire's all of newness at the start.
Your lights from words are glories of my dreams.
So few are needed now as all are streams
And ribbons of life's endless rivers' shimmer.
As with all love, the ending seems a glimmer of
Choice between the bitter root of mara
And understanding how soil is wrenched by lava.
So grateful is this Soul for love's sweet longing
As the road to love of God, nealy belonging
In the Kingdoms of Sand Castles washed
Away by laughter's punctuated odes for Angels,
Rescued by the wine of sincerity
And the serpents' coiling fallowed newness,
Becoming allies.

Dante's Heart

After a small wait, and years of fears
Blurring the already cloudy
Landscapes of our minds,
We learn to sift,
To separate the Wheat from the chaff,
To walk the daunting gauntlet, embracing the beating
Heart of Dante, as he weeps
And sees the waiting
Lush fields of Lillies
Ablaze with eyes
Of passion's testing glitter
All to Hail the wakeful Angels
Visit upon his shoulder.
We see that
The poignant truth of cynicism
Wears an iron fist holding
A cup of lavender tea,
Keeping time with
Some semblance of equanimity,
Peppered with the so often enjoyed
Laughter now and again
Such comic relief a rest from the sense
That :
The vindication one
Seems to profess to seek
Is the pronouncement of one's hypocricy.
And the frame for frame
Mirror one wants
To look away from as it rains
Love all around what looks like others'
lives is the bridge to freedom.
And as subways impale repetitively
Through the infernos
Of the ghostly images on the darkened fabric
Of the Underworld,
There are only vain thoughts of desire
For this Prize or that Accolade
Some needy, winking, blinking, dancing stuffed
Animal life peering through us
Needing a brushing, or at least a whitening.
We live a life of dissonance
To reconcile in gratitude the awe of
Women measuring for training bras
Their daughters
As others' breasts go pallidly empty
Unable to milk their young
From the desparate nothing of dust to east.
We drop to our knees in prayer to our Highest Lord
For understanding from a sign in Spring
Where a Hermit closes the door to all
But the Darkeness, only
To find the Dragon at his window
His charge in life,
The building of his own Soul
Stone by stone till home.
A grateful lore of sorts, worthy of
The Royal Bards wearing caps of Peacock
Feathered crocs,
Wearing brass breastplates
Inlaid with stones of amethyst and rubies
The kind so treaured by the miners' daughter
To glean in secrets of her bed
Where none so lonely lay their head.
We see as nothing, the moments
Pass and then a song
To sing a chant for what is gone
Love, a fire burned from Heaven's lyre
A tantalizing candle glow of celestial desire,
Is a Story written in Heaven's Book.
And thus enjoy the kiss !
As kisses gone are often missed among
The fancied wonders, but not like
Shortbread one's lost the recipe for.
We learn to love as birds, and loving
Who is free to jump the nest,
There is freedom ! It is not love that clings
And suffers like a dirt road in rain.
Love, as long as blessed by grace's fire
Is the dance to God by two who love
As burning doves becoming Wind !
It is a garden planted by the Arrow thrown highly
Charged in Glory by the Master's heart,
Piercing two on its way to the Sun !
So I be now to set before me
Prayer and gratitude, not for
Prizes in Hell as here as breathing,
But for the touch and flight to Heaven's dream !
Not for riches and holdings here,But for my Soul
To be a lark of lights,
A horn of gratitude,
A flute of rest,
For the one who holds the
Grail of lightning in his Kiss !
And thus united, all is well !
We turn as one, our place in love
To give, our joys complete
To share as one our prayer of
Grace and peace.

Song of Dreams

Across the sea of dreams,
A smoky room
Your eyes and mine lock in time
Our love written in the stars
I knew the flames would make you mine

One kiss is all it took,
A kiss so deep, it bleeds me now
A splintered light, it grows me now
Hold me, my love,
My soul to keep

Bring me there to your lair of rest
To love like lightning's shattered breast
In looms of flavored tunes of night
So sweetness births our souls to flight.

What have you done ?
Your words are birds who sing for glee
Your eyes are smiles of children.
Your heart a sweetness as summer wine.

Now, in these misty bodies, frail as film
We are scattered far to feel the stretch
Of who we are, of how we burst like shells
Dropped by seagulls upon the rocks.

I am your window behind the wolf
Beneath the tree who smiles at you.
Flow to me, river of my dreams.
Our moments here are far too few.

Sleep, my love, and wait for me
At the crossing trees amid the gallery
Of stones and ancient harmonies
Where bursts of color ride the wind.

There you'll find me, open arms
To fill your cup and slide yours arms around me
Enbraces long, and kisses deep.
So ever grateful that you found me.

We'll crash against the rocks like shells
And roll like flowing songs of drums
Our passion as a fire bright
Will burn till we are new to day.

Our passion sparked by Venus' light
Imagined terrors do take flight
Beyond the paling Hilltops of iniquity
The light of darkness one may see.

As cherished heart, my Soul does sing
A tune of gladness it's sound brings
To bear upon the checkered past
A final blow to oblivion's gasp.

Held in your arms, I am a Dove
Who quivers long from songs of love
You sent your arrow swift and deep
To find me quietly asleep.

Dissolve

Dissolve into me,
I'll dissolve into you.
No borders or prizes,
Only vastness of view.
For who is the other,
if not all here to see ?
As a mirror falls sofltly,
We dissolve into "we"...

Leave behind all time's worries,

All its accolades, too !
Any seeming distinction

Is distraction from you !
In your deepest song

Sung from eternity's flow,
We are harmony's lovemaking deep in its glow~

Be the flower you gaze at,

its scent and its hue,
See yourself as the Bee

Gathering sweet neon blue !
All you see, all you hear,

In the deep, in the fear~
There's no curtain to lift,

No "far off" to make near.

So as this is written,

The sureness is blurred
Is the meter a song ?

Are the colors the words ?
If we sit and we play

Like our Souls every day,
Are we floating in love in a most tasty way ?

So we dream like the Roses,

And we dance like a fish !
Who's to say if its "better"

To be flume or feather ?
Time to hurry, to sit,

Take a "load off" and knit
It's this time around's journey, A ride in its glitch !
